"Beauty will save the world" said Dostoevsky: we have repeated this phrase here at the Officina delle Arti Antiche very often, especially in this unfortunate period in which we have realized how art, whatever it is, is helping us to pull out that most sensitive, delicate and precious part of us, thanks to which we discovered that strength and determination that we didn't think we had.
Because art, like nature, always manages to create and regenerate: just think of how a simple pencil can give life to our dreams and how brushes and colors can give them shape. Thanks to slow and meticulous passages we are able to stop time to carve out a moment of our own. Supports and materials strengthen our ideas making them indestructible, while evanescent and transitory works help us to let go of the heaviness that has kept us bound for years preventing us from taking flight.
Over the years, thanks to our workshops and lessons, we have had the pleasure and honor of meeting you, chatting and discovering your stories. You have shown us complex slices of life and tremendously real problems which, however, you have managed to transmute into something unique and wonderful: for this reason it seemed right to virtually add a seat to our work table by sharing artistic ideas and ideas together: a way to win those daily anxieties that bore us unnecessarily.
In the next articles, therefore, we will invite some of you here with us to discover different and varied artistic techniques, illustrating their expressive potential and revealing some useful tips to strengthen and improve...
…Exactly as happens during our courses, when between a dusting and a brushstroke we like to observe you while you talk and compare yourselves returning home mutually inspired and motivated.
